Probably best Chinese or regular buffet in 50 miles for many reasons. 1., $6.99 lunch, $10.99 dinner, and $1.35 so. 2., great always hot food at the bar, if outside normally replaced food items in 30sec. 3.: fast,nice Chinese waitress refill drinks and clear the empty plates quickly. 4.: The sushi bar is always occupied and well equipped. 5.: Recently renovated, immaculate clean bathroom and food bar areas. Three hot bars, salad/fruitable, sushi station and dessert bar with 6 flavors of ice are excellent. 30 places for hot food chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and vegetables, plus 3 soups: egg dop, hot sour and canton. This Strip-Mall between Dollar Tree and Chuck E Cheese has free, easy and many parking spaces. I've seen it busy, but never a line to wait for a table. The food turnover is fast and even if not busy small batches are constantly produced fresh. SouthGate is blessed with two large buffets a mile apart. My wife and I travel 25 miles from Belleville/Ypsilanti since the slow sad defeat of Ruby's canton and CharHouse of Belleville and Westland to find the first All American buffet last October. We were told by Great Dragon Buffet and finally in December tried Dragon. We've almost gone to Dragon for 4 times a week. Lunch for two with two sodas and taxes $17.68, dinner $26.16 for the same. A very family-friendly restaurant, and we also like it as they do NOT serve alcohol, so no loud and harmful drunks, and if you host here, no one can charge your bill! Lunch: salmon, a shrimp dish, 1 or 2 beef, 1 or 2 pork, General Tso's, Honey Chicken, Wing, Nuggets, plus 3 to 5 other chicken dishes, stuffed and NOT mushrooms,Freedom Fris, Crab Laub, Garlic bread, 6 to 10 other hot vegetable dishes. Dinner: like lunch PLUS 4.5 shrimps, mussels cold and hot, and sushi area has carved shrimps, thin beef steak, and thin pork steak all in itself serve bed of the sauteed veggies. A MUSS for fast great food, and unlike Golden Corral and Fire Mountan Westland pay AFTER you eat. Besides Golden Corrals excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner in Westland, and try SouthGate's Dragon Buffet or neaby All American Buffet.

No sushi packed. I'm close to being a sushi nut to the point that everything I eat for lunch is the packed sushi by Kroger. When a man at work tells me that a local Chinese buffet has a boss on site who makes sushi, I had to try. Lunch is under $7 and everything you can eat, I didn't know what to expect and I'm not a big eater, quality is more my thing, so my first impression was a clean and well-lit facility as it should be. They had a number of employees working the tables and the place was immaculate (most employees can speak only little to no English. The food was better than average with a great variety. I was a little surprised to see salads, fruits and so many fish dishes, they had a crab dish that was excellent. It was nice to see other things than the standard noodles and chicken deep fried in dough. But my focus was the sushi and I got the money worth, the boss was good, not five stars, but very good. With the understanding that a noble sushi boss has at least five years training, I was curious about his and he told me in broken English that he went from China to school in New York as a sushi boss for two years. Overall, it was money well spent for the light eater that wants to focus on the “better” quality elements, I will go back.

WOW GREAT SUSHI AT A BUFFET YES. I love this place only for some of the best sushi I had for a small price I had on 2 dozen pieces freshly prepared sushi with the cook always at the bar with your special wishes. The other buffet items are also good with my fav hot and sour soup. Yes, you can have great sushi on a buffet, give them a try for 7 and feel your desire on the cheap. 20 Aug, 2010 Great Fresh Sushi. Great dragon buffet. The food is always great at anytime we may visit, lunch or evening, my wife and I eat here often more then anywhere else to dine in, the food is plentiful and the servive is good.

Always a pleasure eating here. They go the extra mile by providing gloves and hand sanitizer to use before touching the utensils for food. I appreciate yall and I'll see you soon!
