Despite advertising as all-you-can-eat sushi, they now only allow customers to order twice. This is misleading and not true to their advertisement. The wait staff is often rude and the temperature inside is inconsistent, always either too cold or too hot. It seems like they run the AC in the winter!
I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant and it saddens me to write this review, as I have been a loyal customer for many years. My friends and I have been coming here for even longer. My wife and I visited yesterday after a few months of absence and were disappointed by the changes. We used to love everything about this place, but new restrictions have ruined the all-you-can-eat experience. Two major issues affected our visit, something that has never happened in the 6 years I have been a customer: 1. There is now a limit on the amount of sashimi you can order, only 8 pieces per person. This was crushing for us as we prefer sashimi over rolls. 2. There is a limit of 2 orders per table. When we tried to order more, the server told us we could not. To make matters worse, the green tea ice cream we ordered tasted like pistachio. I understand that the restaurant underwent a change in ownership during the pandemic, but the new management has made the experience worse. It is disappointing to see the direction they have taken.
I have to say, the sushi and sashimi rolls at this restaurant were really delicious and tasty. We enjoyed the main platter as well. However, the service was extremely slow, which I believe was intentional to make customers order less. Additionally, there were some questionable tactics such as not receiving all items ordered off the all-you-can-eat menu and receiving less sashimi than ordered. I recommend taking a picture of your order slip before handing it in. The menu has also become less unique over the years. One issue we encountered was the miso soup tasting like bleach, which we suspect was due to the bowls not being rinsed properly. Despite this, the rolls were still enjoyable. The unclear pricing and lack of explanation on the bill were disappointing. Overall, the food was good but the service and other aspects of the experience were lacking.
I used to go here twice a week. Now there 's such crazy rules with the all you can eat sushi, I 'm not going back. You can only get 4 pieces of sashimi/sushi per person max. No sashimi allowed on second sheet of paper. And you can only have two pieces of paper menu to order from, so order wisely. They consistently don 't bring everything you order. The rolls are essentially rice formed into a log shape, they are so cheap with the fish now. $75 for two ppl (2 all you can eat, 1 beer, with 20% tip and we left hungry. I asked why the sashimi I ordered never arrived and was told it 's 8 pieces sushi or sashimi total allowed, and we already used up our allotted 8 pieces of sashimi. (How is that all you can eat?!? This is such a shame, I 've been coming here such a long time. Just seems I always leave disappointed.
Outstanding. Some unique items here such as the triangular shaped spicy tuna sandwich. I liked the rolls, the sashimi and even the seaweed salad I had up front. All were tasty and fresh. I read the whining reviews here and I was prepared to wait and be treated poorly. Neither happened. My waitress was pleasant and nice. To be fair I came early and I was treated only one here. If you like to try AYCE sushi I highly recommend this place. PS I 'm kind of disappointed with the $3 drink scam. I won 't be back. They also forgot items both times I got my orders.
