When the French onion soup is better than the best restaurants in France you know you are in a great place. Fab service as always
The food from beginning to end was simply sensational. Well done to all the kitchen team on producing food that clearly shows pride in the produce, stunning flavour combinations and great care and attention to detail when plating. The front of house team were also very welcoming, friendly and attentive, with nothing being any bother. We visited Bistrot Verite for the first time on a rare date night, and it was certainly a night to remember. My husband has raved about the food (as have I) ever since, and we are certainly making plans to return again soon, maybe with the family in tow!
We visited on Thursday evening and as usual the place was fully booked. As always food and service was excellent. I have been going to this bistro for years and never disappointed. It’s consistently good. Friendly atmosphere.
Fantastic restaurant. Had snails, garlic bread with cheese and olives for entree. The garlic bread was superb. Very strong garlic flavour with the beautiful cheese on top. The snails didn't have enough garlic for me but that's just my own opinion. The main courses we had were the chicken vol au vent and the rump lamb. The vol au vent was the better of the 2. Very flavoursome chicken with melted camambert in the middle of the vol au vent. The lamb was nice but I misheard the waiter and though he said lamb shank. I may have ordered the breem instead. But still it wasn't bad at all. The vegetables it came with were great. For dessert we had creme brulee and apple pie with custard. Both excellent. Overall a fantastic meal. Definitely recommend Top banana
