Excellent quality cheese and brot makes for a delicious sandwich! even when they come to the front of the waiting queue, they remember quality needs time and these people take all the time they need to.
After hearing about this sandwich for years, we finally made it to their stall in Borough Market. It was definitely worth the wait. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water. We got a little lost in the market trying to find it, but a security guard kindly showed us the way. He must have seen how hungry we were!
We are fans of Somebody Feed Phil, so we just had to give it a try. It exceeded our expectations! The blend of cheeses, spring onions, red onions, and bread is simply amazing. We couldn't resist the melted cheese and potatoes either, so we waited in both lines. It's quite filling, so if you can, share it with someone else. But, wow, this dish will definitely be a favorite of mine for the rest of my life.
I had a great experience at this restaurant and would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5. I shared a cheese toastie with my partner and we both loved it! The cheese blend was tasty and we were lucky to arrive early and avoid a long wait. The price was reasonable for London and the person serving us was friendly, efficient, and didn't mind that we were sharing one order. The bread had a nice crunch without being burnt, making for a perfectly toasted sandwich. While it might not have been the healthiest breakfast, it was definitely worth it. The only thing I would have liked more of was the leek/onion, which was listed as an ingredient but didn't stand out in terms of texture or flavor.
