Right across the street from the theater, we stumbled upon this fantastic family restaurant. The atmosphere was clean and bustling, with Latin American music playing on the TV and a warm, welcoming staff. We enjoyed two delicious meals paired with a bottle of Peruvian wine. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
Fantastic food, reasonable prices, and the typical Peruvian restaurant atmosphere. I definitely recommend having lunch there!
My friend and I visited Saber Peruano in E&C on November 12th. We ordered ceviche, papa rellena, and 4 Cuzquenas beers. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. The ceviche consisted of slimy fish, stale banana fritters, a lump of dried corn, and a few slices of sweet potato. The papa rellena was just a boiled potato with some filling. Additionally, we were shocked by the rude remark made by the manager in Quechua as we left. I would recommend trying Tierra Peru on Essex Rd for excellent food and service. I will not be returning to Saber Peruano and suggest others not waste their money there.
Last week, we went to Sabor Peruano while in London. We ordered a variety of dishes to share and tried Inca cola. Every dish was delicious, including the salchipapas we got for our son. Just a heads up, we had to pay in cash because their card reader didn't work with our cards. There are three ATMs outside, but one was broken, another didn't let us withdraw cash (only change PIN and check balance) with Bank of Ireland and Nationwide debit cards, so we had to use the third machine that charges £1.99. It might be a good idea to bring cash when visiting to avoid any issues.
The food was proper authentic Peruvian cuisine and the staff here were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend coming here!
