Malia Island Fusion Cuisine

My brother and I visited Sanibel for a spring vacation in March 2019. On our last night on the island, we chose Malia for dinner and drinks before heading back to Minnesota. The service was outstanding. The bartenders were attentive not just to us, but also to our parents. One bartender even brought us an octopus dish that had been mistakenly ordered. The presentation and flavor of the octopus were exceptional. Malia boasts a great wine selection and a diverse menu of appetizers and main courses. I tried one of the specials, fresh opah with mushroom risotto, which was by far the best meal of our trip. The chef and owner came over to chat with us after our meal; he was incredibly friendly and down-to-earth. I also indulged in a magnificent carrot cake for dessert that matched the quality of the main course. Our waiter, Frankie, was fantastic, ensuring our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed. The entire staff was warm and accommodating. Whether you're just visiting for a brief stay, a snowbird, or a full-time resident, you definitely deserve to treat yourself to a visit to Malia.

During our week-long stay in Cape Coral, we had the opportunity to try various restaurants, but Malias stood out as the best dining experience we had. I'm so glad we decided to visit. The atmosphere is lovely, the service was outstanding, and I still find myself dreaming about the shrimp fillet I had. Chef Jeff and the entire team are doing an exceptional job. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The calamari and yucca fries were exceptional as appetizers. The triple cockscomb with mushroom ravioli and spinach was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The mango sorbet for dessert was both tasty and generous in portion. The service was excellent. I'll definitely be returning!

Her food was delicious and her service was exceptional. The fillet and the Mongolian beef were so delicious. If you have children, you should take them here, even the hamburger is delicious! the elements on the children's menu come in the perfect size. Malia even makes your dessert. All in all, it's a wonderful restaurant.

We have dined at Malia 3 times now (we're locals). The food is fresh, unique, and special. The wine and drinks are interesting. We love the combinations of flavors, making dining here a truly delicious experience. As foodies, we find it hard to go out to eat anywhere. Malia's makes it worthwhile. Great job! We'll be back!
