Downtown Trini's And Margarita Joe’s

I really enjoy this restaurant. It's a must-visit for lunch or dinner if you're in the vicinity of Sparta.

I recently drove 40 miles to try out this restaurant after discovering they offer gluten-free meals. I ordered a simple taco salad with chips on the side, but unfortunately they forgot to add any flavor. The salad was just a plate of bland ingredients, with literally zero taste. My son ordered 3 tacos but only received 2, and even he found them to be lacking in flavor. The rice had a nice color but tasted like plain white rice. I used to love this restaurant before my celiac diagnosis, so I was excited to hear they offer gluten-free options. While I didn't get sick from eating here, the lack of flavor was disappointing.

For a place in Sparta, this was pretty good. We went during an off time, mid-afternoon, so it wasn't busy. The service was good, though!Our food was pretty okay. We ordered tacos and a burrito. You get complimentary chips and salsa. We only drank bottle beer, so I can't comment on drinks.May or may not go back I don't tend to make it to Sparta that often.They did have a nice big patio section, which is awesome.

I really like this restaurant! There are a few things that I noticed that I want to share with you. Depending on the size of your group and the time of day, you may have to wait for a table. The food is absolutely delicious and there is outdoor seating available. The staff is very friendly and the prices on the menu are listed without a dollar sign or decimal point, which initially confused me. They give kids a piece of candy at the end of the meal. Their Mexican food is excellent and the burgers are outstanding. I always order a burger from every restaurant I visit and theirs are some of the best. The waffle fries are a must-have. The restaurant has a hometown vibe and it seems like everyone knows each other. It's a great place to go with a group because you will likely see someone you know.

I always get their all meat burrito which is yummy but today I decided to try their Downtown Club Wrap and I was pleasantly surprised! That ranch sauce is on point. Highly recommend looking at other items on their menu.
