Sugar-n-spice - Spartanburg

Our first visit was ever very good. we tried the kids cheeseburger and small souvlaki. both were good. I get the appell this home town comfort restaurant. the staff was very friendly and so was the man who took our order (the owner)? .

I've been coming here for at least 9 years and I have never left disappointed or hungry. The owner and staff are always friendly, work hard and make sure we have everything we need to enjoy our meal. You can't go wrong with the beef souvlaki, its delicious. They always make it rare for me upon request. Fries are usually nice and crispy and the onion rings are so crunchy and delicious. If you come during peak hours you may be fighting for a seat, but no matter what time of day you come the food is always hot, fresh and delicious.

I cannot remember my first visit to the Sugar N Spice, perhaps it was fifty years ago, give or take a year or two. Stepping through the door is like crossing the threshold to a past reality, a great many memories of good times past. While the place is thoroughly modern and clean, it is tastefully nostalgic. The food is just like it has always been, very good, and consistently so. Chili Cheese with mustard and onions, fries; and hot fudge cake, like nothing else, anywhere. The souvlaki is tender and spiced just so, and the baklava is a great finish. Or try anything with grilled chicken, its awesome.

When I want a burger at lunch this is a great place no nonsense make it the way you want it! Fries and onion rings, the best! No wait for food here, you order when you enter by the time you get to the register. Your food is pretty much there! I love it!

Well all staff was friendly and nice but food in my opinion was just OK. Nothing special and nothing bad about the food. There are so many places to try in Spartanburg that I don't think I'll be coming back here.
