Super cool little piece of history! And great ice cream to boot. They were doing a bit of reconstruction, so it wasn't organized as it usually is for its full school room setup, but still fascinating to see how much original infrastructure and materials were in the space from over 100 years ago.The lady we spoke to was very kind and knowledgeable about the different items. It made for a great time we weren't even originally looking for.
This area is a hidden gem! A trip back in time, the history of the schoolhouse as well as artifacts are a mini-museum. They also have a diverse assortment of ice creams, sundaes, and snacks. We had the blackberry ice cream...rich cream and ribbons of berry. Sooo good! An old fashioned hot dog was also enjoyed with red pepper relish and spicy mustard. Gotta try the banana cream pie ice cream next time. Absolutely charming owner and place!
