Very popular place with a nice menu. Just visited once but will visit again to try more menu items. Some of the tip was included in the ticket so you may want to offset that when adding your tip.Food: 5/5
In town for a quick trip. As per usual googling (breakfast) restaurants. The photos looked appealing and the reviews were good. We were seated pretty quick as the restaurant had only opened an hour before. Ordered OJ and french press coffee took 10 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered our food when our server brought our drinks. Fast forward 40 minutes to finally getting our food. Both a simple order. 2 eggs over medium (that they fried hard)with bacon , and a yogurt bowl. How those took 40 minutes I'm still not sure. After even further delay of getting our bill and returning it back after the card was swiped. From a different perspective. They have outdoor seating that hasn't been cleaned in a while with leaves and garbage pushed against the glass. If they can't take a moment to sweep what else aren't they doing?
Food was delicious. Scarfed down my grilled chicken sandwich and enjoyed the side salad. First time here and I've been thinking to go for ages and ages now. Happy I made it in and will plan to be back. There were a couple downsides, but not taking off points for it:They didn't follow my instructions on aioli on the side, but luckily they also didn't drench my sandwich with it. So. Is what it is.Iced tea is not to my personal liking. Would not order that here again. I'm a plain Lipton brew kinda iced tea girl. I tried asking to switch to a Coke, but was told they'd have to charge me separate/in addition for it. That's just super odd. If I weren't on a business lunch I'd have pushed back on that, but on this visit I let it go and thought I'd offer it up as a Tip here that you can't switch for free. (Mind boggling.
We stopped here on a weekday around 10 a.m. for breakfast and it was quite full. We had read about the bacon sticky bun so before we even sat down and looked at the menu we requested one in case they were running low. Turns out, we got the last one! They're delicious; topped with a creamy cream cheese icing and a shard of burnt sugar. My husband ordered the brisket plate which comes with a perfectly cooked egg on top of tender brisket and a mix of fried potatoes (white, sweet and yam). It was excellent. I had a side of 2 eggs over hard, which usually means they're too cooked, but these were done to perfection. The French press coffee was also very good. Our only con would be the noise level. For those who have a hearing impairment it might be difficult to converse with your tablemates. Our server was very friendly. Seating includes high tables and regular tables. This is definitely on our list to try again next time we're in Spokane.
