We’d go downstairs and talk with somebody and they’d swear that someone would be there the next day, this happened at least four times. They’d tell us to put the trash right outside our door and they’d send someone up to get it and we’d wake up the next morning to trash still outside. I’ve had better service at lower starred Marriotts than I had here. The rooms themselves were great but over a 10 day period we really needed much better than this and talking to the front desk got us nowhere.
Since 2010 it was an upscale new place in Spokane, WA. With peanut brittle, daily room service and the best breakfast and waiters. They had a Lincoln shuttle take u anywhere in town including airport. The frustration is in service and hotel management. We spoke with Alan. He looked as a nice genuine person who promised to take care about us but he didn’t. Rooms were not changed, no water pressure in a shower, breakfast waiter were new and we could not get a coffee for 30 min at the breakfast. Manager didn’t respond to email. They have a lot of turnover. The good thing about them is location and spacious king size beds. Not sure if we will be back.
Quite posh hotel with excellent views and spacious room availability. The grand ballroom is well-provisioned for conferences and special events- we greatly enjoyed our stay! One strangeness was the valets reversed the flow of traffic through the entry driveway during our stay which was very confusing and not well signed or communicated.Walkability: Nearby river walk and restaurants are great for short walks!
For a 4-star hotel, I was very disappointed that I paid so much for a hotel that refused to service the room and did not disclose this policy when making a purchase. Even after I requested at check-in, and twice the following day, the hotel did not service our room. The bathrooms have two very small hooks that don't allow our towels to dry (we had 3 people in the room). There were no towel bars. And the hotel staff kept saying someone would come and they never did. In addition, the parking lot was so busy, that when we wanted to use our car, the lot had a wait of over an hour with only one exit lane (other lane was closed). We had to purchase an Uber to make our travels even though we paid $25 daily to park (paid through the hotel) plus the cost of rental car. And, to make it worse, my checkout statement was half the cost of the actual price I had pre-paid. It was insulting. I will not return to this hotel and I would advise on spending less for a hotel that is at least upfront with their services.
This hotel looks lush and beautiful, but the whole experience was ruined tonight. We were watching tv and held the comforter up to find something and made a disturbing discovery. There looks to be mildew or just something nasty in the comforter, that we have been sleeping with for the past three nights! It’s truly awful, I had very high hopes and this is just not okay.
