You must? ve has changed property. The menu had much more than what they have now. I have the spicy Mistel-Kimichi-Ramen. It was supposed to have pork belly, but it was more like a piece of dried chicken, the breadth? was more of a tomato soup consistency. It was just not appetizing. My cousin has some kind of rice bowl with pig bell upstairs. It was literally a bowl of rice with 3 or 4 small strips of pork belly (she did not eat it, it ended to send it back), she got the wings instead. Nothing extravagant, fried wings drowned in sweet chilli sauce. This place is nothing like before. It is regrettable because they were good once.
Good things first, the environment, the staff and the music were nice. But the most important thing was that food was devastating. If you have been in Japan and tried original Japanese food, you will be very dissapointed with their food. The carage was small and dark brown, the Takoyaki was kind of hard outside. If you want to be an idea of Japanese food ok, but do not expect it to be the same as the real Japanese food.
Save your money and go somewhere else. Besides my wonderful waitress, the rest is terrible, from food to the owner who makes the food in the kitchen, screams and don?t have any custom service skills. It's just sad. The foods are not authentic at all. This is not an Asian food. Yeah, you heard about a real Asian, just don't go here. I hope my waitress finds somewhere else to work soon because she looks like he's not treating his employees.
We just spent the morning... We thought of getting nothing better and a bright but refreshing bowl of ruffles. I got the mixed broth and then added a few spoons of her spicy broth and they both really came to life. We were happy with our bells and the price was also nice.
Pros: good menu selection, good presentation, cozy and fun atmosphere, usually no wait Cons: small portions, flavor is lacking, can 't even properly make their regular menu items The ambiance is cool. Went with a friend; we got the chicken ramen and curry with chicken katsu--no changes, no substitutions, just the regular menu items. The chicken ramen was just chicken and noodles in broth with a small piece of seaweed; none of the other stuff the menu says it comes with. The portion of the ramen was kind of small for the price too. Then there 's the curry. The menu says, spicy curry with potato, carrots, onion, green onion served with a side of Japanese vegetable relish ; what they gave me was a bowl of bland, not at all spicy curry, with 4 pieces of pickled vegetables in it, so for some odd reason they stuck the relish in the curry in place of the actual vegetables. It would have been nice to know if they were out of some ingredients, but they never said any such thing. Not only were the dishes not as advertised, they were bland. At least they looked pretty. These guys are just phoning it in--will not be back.
