Q-shi Bistro - Spring

The stars are deceptive!!!!! I am not one to post reviews because I normally do not care enough but this one I just had to! This is my expierence. My pregnant wife and I only came here because our normal sushi place Rakuu sushi was about to close. We saw the stars and reviews and thought wow this place must be good! Upon being seated we could not help but notice the decor and ambience. It was eriely quiet. It felt like we had to whisper the whole time. There was no music or nothing, you could hear every conversation in the place. The paint on the walls, the lighting. The place was creepy to say the least. It felt like I was in a horror movie. My wife was also uncomfortable. The food: First, the water tasted horrible. Well according to my wife. She drank my soda the rest of the night. The entree Qshi 3 was not good. It was the sauce and I would suppose texture. When I first bit into it I thought this is a weird flavor, I don 't think I ever had a flavor like this then turned into yeah, I do not like this at all as I kept eating it became bearable but definetly not enjoyable. I couldn 't finish it. The shaggy Dog it was alright? I would say just below average. Compared to other sushi I 've had, not good. The loaded kimchi fries I would say is the best item out of everything but again compared to other loaded fries. Absolutely subpar to say the least. In the end, we couldn 't wait to get out of that place. It felt as if we were in a twilight zone. My wife was genuinely concerned about the food and getting sick. Side notes: the bathroom was disgusting. The floor was pretty much covered in urine and almost none walkable because of how slippery it was. There was literally only two waitresses. One was sketch as well. She also did not wear a mask literally the entire time, even when delivery food. (I personally don 't care but my wife thought it was substantial enough to include in this) The environment was unprofessional as well. My reason for two stars: our waitress was real nice. Young gal. The fries and shaggy dog and their mediocrity deserved only 2.

This place has got even worse with the new owner. Stephanie at the front who also seems to manage the place has no customer service skills.I have watched people walk out because lack of service and then when you think it can get worse they run out of rice... At a sushi place that's half full.If the owner is there she is chilling at the bar watching it all go down.

Neat place that has a quirky combination for sure. Sushi is on point and prepared to order, not grabbed off a cold plate in the fridge. If the brisket is on your mind, come early, it's off the menu pretty quick. The sauces have a great flavor and even a little kick. Nice atmosphere and service is above standard.

One of the best fusion places I've been too!! I will be back soon!!! Great staff and great atmosphere

The concept was great but the food was not. We got a bento box and some sushi with bbq and both dishes didn't have good flavor and the bbq was stiff and chewy
