The pastries should be soft, but when I tried to test their softness, they were extremely hard and I couldn't even press into them. The rest of the bread was also very hard, forcing me to crush it into my coffee. It's unfortunate that they can't seem to make it soft.
The quality of this restaurant has definitely declined. Paying $1 for an imperial just isn't worth it. I was willing to overlook the higher prices to support a local business, but unfortunately the food lacked freshness and quality. The staff was friendly, so I am giving it two stars based on that.
I was very disappointed to find that there are hardly any bakeries in this area, so I was looking forward to trying out this place. According to their online information, they are supposed to be open at 6 am every day. However, when I arrived at 7:50 am, I saw a sign on the door stating they open at 7 am every day. Despite there being two cars in the parking lot, the bakery was closed with no explanation. I waited until 8 am, thinking they might be running late, but still no sign of anyone opening up. This is not how you should operate a business. I will have to continue my search for a good bakery to support.
The customer service is great and the bread is fresh.
The bread is good, but we go often because of the Tamales Veracruzanos....DELICIOUS !!
