Long Hollow Grill - Spring City

The place is once again called The Long Hollow Bar and Grill. The food is hands down 100% better than it ever has been before. The beer selection is meh, with the typical generics, which is a shame that if you're going to offer something different to Spring City, seems like you would improve the beer selection. The service is really good, although they seem like they're still trying to work out some of the bugs. They have one server though that dresses like a clown complete with colored hair and everything. Not really sure if this is done to draw attention to the restaurant or draw attention to herself, although she would be better if she paid as much attention to the new customers as much as she flirts with the regulars. Thank goodness she doesn't distract too much from the real reason for going here, which is the food. Well worth the drive, prices are moderate, food is excellent, just avoid the clown and you'll be fine.

New owners now called Island Restaurant. Do NOT eat here. The seafood buffet made us sick. Had unidentifiable pieces on there and crab legs were left to soak in water with whole carrots.

Our troubles began the moment we rented a slip. We had to wait a week before we could put our boat in the water because an unidentified boat was occupying our slip, and they had no idea who it belonged to. To move that boat, two others also had to shift to their assigned spots. Once we finally got our boat in, the dock manager, Breanna, instructed us to park our trailer in a designated area. When we arrived there, we noticed other boat trailers already parked, despite seeing "no parking" signs that we assumed didn't apply to us since we were given permission. To make matters worse, we received a bill covering our entire stay along with a late fee, even though I have proof that I paid on time! Frustrated, we decided to take our boat home. When we returned to the marina to retrieve our trailer, it was gone! Two weeks earlier, they had towed all the trailers to a fenced lot in another town, which cost us $200 to retrieve. They claimed it was "impossible" to locate the owners of the trailers, but all they needed to do was put a notice in the monthly bills asking owners to move their trailers, and we would have happily taken ours home. This experience was riddled with issues, and although there are other examples we could mention, we strongly advise against doing business with this marina. Save yourself the hassle!

The service was outstanding, the food was exceptional (hands down the best burger I've ever had), and the atmosphere was fantastic. I stumbled upon this place during a road trip and will likely make a return visit just for it. The owner is extremely friendly, and the chef is truly talented!
