Uses a wire brush to clean their grill where one broke off and ended up in my burrito i could of died if swallowed

I had the saritas fries they were great next time I'll tell them to go easy on the Chipotle sauce cause it kinda over powered it

The only place I go for burritos when I come back to visit! The Cali Surf and Turf is as big as your forearm and worth the wait. Ordering ahead of time is the way too go because it's a small shop and it's very popular. We ordered 8 burritos and waited well over 35 min because we didn't order ahead.

The food is the best I’ve ever had at any taco shop in San Diego the reason why I’m writing this review is about the older male cashier. I go here about once a week and he is there everytime he’s a nice guy never rude but moves very slow and let’s peoples orders sit for minutes getting cold while he does other tasks that are not important at the moment. The past few times I’ve just ignored it because it’s a busy restaurant but I also work in a restaurant and know that as soon as the food comes out you should call it out. Some peoples food ends up sitting for 10-15 minutes because he’s doing unnecessary stuff such as restocking the whole back counter with napkins reorganizing the cups for the hot sauces cleaning around the restaurant all while peoples orders are sitting waiting to be called out. I came tonight right before closing no one was in the restaurant other than me and I should have been given my food when it was ready but this guy decided to go outside and start sweeping taking out the trash for 10 minutes while no one else was in the restaurant and my food was just sitting on the counter behind the register he could have simply handed me my food and then continued to do the task he wanted to do so badly. he does not care if your food gets cold or how much money you spent he just wants to get his tasks done. I wouldn’t even usually write a review but I love this restaurant and would love to come more but the only thing keeping me from coming even more than I already do is him and him letting my food I paid for get cold.
