Spring Valley Diner

This was my first experience trying a Dominican breakfast, and I absolutely loved it. We ordered mangu served with salami, cheese, and eggs, and the portion sizes were so generous that I ended up taking some home. I tried tamarind juice, while my friend had a delicious drink made with orange juice and milk. I will definitely be returning to Latin Star, and I highly recommend it!

The food is good, and I've been a regular customer for many years. However, today I encountered an issue for the first time. I placed an order, and although the staff member repeated it back to me correctly, when I took my food home, it was not what I had ordered. When I called back, the young lady I spoke with was very rude, and I had to make an effort to remain calm. She ended the call abruptly, so I called again and asked to speak to a manager. Thankfully, someone else answered who was polite and genuinely listened to my concerns. She was able to resolve the issue. I believe the owner should address customer service training with the staff. I've also noticed that the owner tends to only respond to positive reviews, but it's important to acknowledge complaints as well.

I frequently visit the Latin Star with our 92-year-old mother, who absolutely loves it. The restaurant offers delicious meals at affordable prices, and the food is always fresh each day.
