I recently had the best fried chicken in ages—crispy, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The skin was wonderfully crunchy, while the meat was juicy and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were heavenly. This is a true representation of American comfort food. The restaurant has a rich history and clearly takes pride in its offerings. My server was a gem and provided excellent service. Definitely visit this place to support a family-run dream!

This restaurant has a charming, nostalgic interior that feels like a step back in time. They offer a wide variety of delicious food at reasonable prices. While chicken is a highlight, the BBQ boneless chicken was particularly tasty. Their batter-dipped fries, which have a flavor reminiscent of a baked potato, are a must-try. If chicken doesn't appeal to you, I recommend the fried catfish instead. You also get freshly baked buns with butter, which I suggest trying with a bit of honey. Don’t forget to save room for ice cream for dessert! My only complaint is that the mac and cheese wasn’t great, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This place has been around for over 75 years and is conveniently located right across from the gas station.

The food here is great, and the sampler platter is truly one of the best values I've encountered at a local restaurant. It’s packed with a variety of delicious fried options. Although my chicken was a bit overcooked for my taste, I still enjoyed my visit and would happily return. A coworker recommended this spot, and if I'm in the mood for some good chicken, I’m all for supporting a local business. The ambiance is unique and has an old-fashioned charm, which I think adds character to the place. Overall, it’s a neat piece of local history.

We were eager to try something new and decided to visit AQ Chicken House. The food we ordered had a good flavor, but the restaurant itself felt old and in need of updates. Upon arrival, we noticed people smoking right outside the entrance, which was off-putting. Additionally, I found the prices to be a bit high for what we received. To top it off, they didn't have some of the dishes we were interested in trying.

A classic go-to for fried chicken! They serve traditional pan-fried chicken and also offer a version with a delicious 'smoked grill' flavor. I've tried both, and I'm torn on which one I prefer. Just a heads up: the pan-fried style means the exterior isn't crispy, but it does have a fantastic flavor. If you typically go for extra crispy fried chicken, this style may not be to your liking. Be sure to check their hours, as they have been facing staffing challenges since December 2021, like many other businesses. Be prepared for longer wait times and slower service; it's not their fault.
