Glen's Frozen Custard - Springdale

We absolutely adore Glen's! Pictured here is our top choice: the brownie sundae, enhanced with an extra scoop of vanilla custard to achieve the perfect brownie-custard ratio. Other favorites of ours are the seasonal s'mores sundae and the turtle sundae. Without a doubt, it's the best frozen custard in the area!

Glenn's Frozen Custard has an almost legendary status in the city and a loyal fan base in the Allegheny Valley. For years, I've heard that their custard surpasses other commercial brands, known for its creaminess and smooth texture, as well as its exceptional flavors. Today, I finally visited with two friends, and everything I had heard was absolutely true. If you're an ice cream and custard lover seeking unique flavors that you might not find anywhere else, this is a place you simply must try.

Soon enough, I was presented with what can only be described as perfection—a cup filled with coffee and pistachio ice cream. The first bite revealed a crunchy coffee bean that was generous and absolutely delicious. Then I dove into the pistachio flavor and was equally amazed—there were real nuts in it, not just chopped pieces. It tasted so authentic and incredible, leaving me completely blown away.

This is the only restaurant I’ll choose! I just wish they were open all year round! Food: 5 stars, Service: 5 stars, Atmosphere: 5 stars.

You’ve never tasted ice cream as good as Glenn’s custard. I’m sure you think you have, but trust me, you’re wrong. You should visit as soon as you can and grab some, as they’ll be closing for the winter soon. After that, you’ll have to wait until March! Service: Takeout, Meal Type: Other.
