After being closed for 20 years, the new owners have done a fantastic job of preserving its authenticity and staying true to its roots. It's definitely a must-visit! Be sure to catch the one night they serve steaks.
Nevertheless, we were just there for drinks, and we had an incredible time at this saloon. The bartenders were fantastic, especially Kelly, who attended to us all night long. I'm usually a beer drinker, but she recommended some wonderful ales that I thoroughly enjoyed. My girlfriend wanted a mixed drink, and Kelly crafted her an Orange Julius, which she absolutely loved. As we speak, my girlfriend is trying to recreate that drink at home! Kelly is a true professional who really knows her stuff. If she's taking care of you, you're in great hands. The saloon itself is spacious, featuring a separate pool table area and a smoking section out back. When we stepped outside for a smoke, we found some folks enjoying Johnny Cash on a boom box. In my opinion, you can't pay for that kind of ambiance. The stars in the night sky complemented the music and the lively crowd perfectly. The bar offers an extensive draft beer selection along with a fantastic mixed drink menu—pretty much anything you could want. The clientele was friendly, too. One guy at the bar was performing magic tricks that blew our minds. It was such a memorable experience! Oh, and they have plenty of flat-screen TVs, making it a great spot to catch some sports too. I can't wait to go back!
I really enjoyed this redneck country-western bar, but unfortunately, it's now closed. It shut down in early September 2015.
