5-1 Diner - Springfield Twp

Slow service. Waited to be seated. Got our menus but had to wait a long time to place our order. Asked when we might be able to get our order in as other waitress was placing order for people that came in after us. Was told she would get them as soon as she gave customers food. She proceed to then ring up other orders instead. Ordered food started coming to table except mine. Simple hamburger order. Other plates of food were served mine still hadn't arrived. Finally got it and some of the fries weren't even fried completely. Never getting my service.

Cozy atmosphere, great food, and service… when they’re open :(I ride my bike from lake orion to get breakfast almost every weekend. I thought i stumbled upon the best diner in town when I found 5-1. Unfortunately 3 out of the last 5 time I tried to go there they had a temporarily closed sign on their door during normal hours. Kind of a bummer after a 6 mile ride on an empty stomach :

Short staffed, waited over 30 mins for someone to come take our order. It took an hour for our breakfast. Food was awful eggs tasted like plastic. I would avoid at all costs. So many other options in the area.

Absolutely love the food, however they're always out of something, every time we place an order there is something not available... Sad feels like it needs a serious management reboot

Not sure who is responsible for buying food, they are doing a poor job for their employees. Waitress apologized 25 times. They had no burgers, no breakfast sausage, no gyro meat, no french fries, etc… After 45 minutes of waiting I had a coney with an only choice of hash browns about the size of 5 tator tots, and my wife had a salad. We made a long drive to one of our old favorite places. Will most likely not go back.
