Colton's Steak House Grill

Last night, the special was smoked pork ribs, and I usually adore smoked pork ribs. However, they were incredibly dry—so dry that I struggled to swallow them. When I brought this to the server’s attention, her response was less than satisfactory. She simply mentioned that I could have BBQ sauce, which I can't due to my diet. She then asked if I wanted another type of sauce, as if she thought that drowning the dry food in sauce would make it better. I've never had a poor experience here before, but this visit definitely left something to be desired.

I'll try to keep this review straightforward. I had to send back some burnt fries because I often forget to take photos of my food, but it was clear that they had been boiled. In an attempt to make it right, they offered me another batch of hot, burnt fries, but by that point, I had lost my appetite. One of my dining companions ordered steak, catfish, and baked potatoes. Unfortunately, the baked potatoes were undercooked, and the catfish looked like the last remnants from the freezer—it was overcooked and unappetizing. The steak, which was supposed to be rare, came out more medium. On a positive note, our server did a great job and really tried her best. Despite the issues, the restaurant isn't terrible; I believe the main problem lies in the kitchen and that with some improvements, the overall experience could be much better. At least the rolls and water were served promptly!

My husband and I have dined at several Colton's locations, from Sedalia to Knob Noster, and we found this one in need of improvement, especially in terms of service. Our waitress, Gabrielle, was often MIA, and we even had to have someone else bring us our check since she only attended to our table intermittently. Additionally, the high chair we were given was dirty. Considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy, we were disappointed with the level of service we received.

What can you improve? One way would be if someone ordered a $15 steak to give one that is larger than 4 bites. And do not say that it is due to preboiling weight. mean meaning does not give 1 person a normal size steak and the other with the SAME ORDER a steak less than a 3rd size. Images in comments.

We had a great Father's Day dinner. We had chicken, steak, and 2 kids meals with steak and everyone enjoyed their food thoroughly. The service was great as well. There were a lot of people waiting, but it didn't take long at all to get in.
