Steak N Shake - Springfield

This restaurant has been here as long as I can remember. There was an old quarry across the street where Walgreens is now. The food was awesome and people had good attitudes. It's almost unusual to eat in peace anymore.

Wow. Seriously the best location in Springfield. Friendly staff of just two people treated me like I was the first customer of the day eagerly ready to take my order, despite me arriving 30 mins before close. Not only did they provide outstanding service, it was by far the best steak and shake burger I’ve ever had.

It was an old steak and shake restaurant.great atmosphere and great service.i took my son his wife and my 2 grandboy.i was surprised about the price of the food. Better than all the burger joints. For the 5 of us it came to $30. Food was good.

The food was more or less precisely what I expected; a good old greasy steakburger, tall delicious shake, and a cozy cup of chili. While not stunning, it was satisfying. The service was outstanding, quick, and as comfortable as you'd expect from a quick in and out burger joint; expectations not only met but exceeded. The atmosphere was, again, not quite to the extent that I was impressed but it was exactly what I would have expected from a burger joint. All in all, recommended to stop by for a quick lunch or road trip dinner.

Thiscis my favorite Steak n Shake location. St. Louis and National is the original one here in Springfield . The lady who waited on us was very kind and helpful the food was super good ut even had the crispy lace around the burger like an old fashion burger. We was very happy .
