Food is cooked fresh when ordered, not cooked and sitting under heat lamps. Everything is made from scratch and raised by Lacey (owner). Had the sausage sandwich red and green grilled peppers and onions with fries. Great sweet tea. Outdoor eating only, stays busy. Well worth the trip and wait.
Ain 't it spring yet? Wheres that ground hawg? Lemme know when it 's over. It must be spring, the crew at the Tin Shed are out of hibernation, bringing back Mitchell Counties best BBQ and fix 'ins. Local ramp 's are in season and go great with BBQ meals. Well it 's late summer now, the ramps may be out of season, but the butternut squash is in its prime! This ain 't Wiley 's but it 's the best WNC has to offer!
The staff at this restaurant is very friendly, but be prepared to eat outdoors as there is only a portable toilet available. The BBQ was tasty, along with the fries and fried onions. However, my wife wasn't a fan of the potato salad or sweet potato fries. Overall, the pleasant atmosphere and nice employees made for a decent experience!
Local and fantastic! This is a wonderful spot to bring the kids while you enjoy a meal al fresco. They can play in the fenced-in play area, pet the bunnies, or watch the pigs and other farm animals. It's a good idea to call ahead, as they may close early if it's slow. I also picked up some produce along with my lunch, and once I got home and tried it, I was blown away! If you're looking for relaxed, locally-sourced food, this is the place for you.
The barbecue was the best I’ve ever had. All the sides were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. However, the highlight of the visit was Lacey. Meeting her alone makes the trip worthwhile. I highly recommend this restaurant—you won’t be disappointed!
