We were two couples who came to st. anthony last juli and were looking for a place to have lunch in the late afternoon. cartier’s galley is a restaurant associated with haven inn, but they do not have to get a gast in the...inn for a meal. the restaurant had a very good list of meals: seafood, wings, meat or only suppe or salate. we had no problem finding a court to enjoy. the service was fast and the food we chose was presented on the dish and perfectly cooked. we had a quick and tasty lunch here.
I was eating here. the restaurant is part of a hotel. we had the turkey dinner and it was average, but nothing special. I had the baked kartoffel and I suspect that it was partly, if not complete, microwave. the restaurant cooks in house style and they. do a reasonable job. the menu is varied and there is something to appeal to everyone. the service was efficient and the personal friendly. a more reasonable place to eat, but nothing extraordinary.
This restaurant has received mixed reviews in the past, but we decided to go based on a local lady's recommendation. We ordered the turkey dinner and it was a delicious, home-cooked meal. The carrots, potatoes, and beets were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The turkey was slightly dry (possibly cooked and reheated from the day before), but the gravy helped to moisten it. The waitress was friendly and efficient, and the wait time for our meal was reasonable. Overall, I had no complaints.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful supper here on July 25th. The food, the service and the view were all top notch. I enjoyed fresh cod, which was caught by local fishermen only a few hours before, it was fabulous. My husband had steak...which he enjoyed as well. We had a lovely view of the habour. The lady doing the service that evening was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive a true professional who made our evening so pleasant. Good serving sizes and reasonable prices. I highly recommend this restaurant.
