Plant Based Takeaway - St Austell

We ordered Chinese curry with Oumph pieces and chips, sweet and sour tofu and plain rice, garlic breaded mushrooms, spring rolls, and lemon cake. Overall, our meal was tasty and we were generally satisfied with both the quality and portion sizes. Turned up within the time they advertised on their website and it was all nice and hot when it got to us too. Only slight disappointment was with the mushrooms and spring rolls. They were a bit soft/soggy, presumably due to condensation from being in takeaway boxes, so didn't taste as nice as everything else I'm not really sure how that could be avoided when they have to be transported though! I'm not sure the lettuce helped as the heat had just wilted it, so I feel like this could have contributed to the moisture. They weren't terrible, just not as great as everything else they certainly didn't go to waste though! Best bits: My omni partner had the Chinese curry and thoroughly enjoyed it. He said he wasn't fussed about having it with oumph, as he thought it would be even better with just veg, but either way will happily order it again. I tried some and actually preferred it to my tofu dish (although the tofu dish was also lovely). We were also really impressed with how good the cake was, it was really lovely and moist! We're definitely planning to get food from here whenever down that way now that we know it's there. I wish it was an option closer to home for us!

Food was delivered in good time. Ordered a burger and a bit disappointed, limp lettuce which was browning, no sauce in the burger (optional extra) and the chips were quite greasy. Also quite expensive for what it was. Want to support vegan businesses and may have just been unlucky on this occasion.

Varied menu with a range of Indian, Chinese and European foods; starters mains and desserts. The portions are MASSIVE, we could have done with ordering just two thirds of what we did. One tried the fake chicken burger with sweet potato fries...lovely, the others shared jackfruit balti...hot but tasty and a butternut dansak... gorgeous!

I haven't had chinese food since before I went vegan and this place really filled a taste I was missing. I'm so sad I was only in St Austell for one night as the choice was so big I could have eaten here nightly for over a week!
