We had a late Easter family gathering at this restaurant on April 28th. The server recommended the buffet as it was the same price as ordering breakfast and coffee individually. However, the buffet was cold and we only received one pitcher of water for a table of ten without asking if we needed more. My husband and I have a gluten allergy and asked if a menu item was gluten free, but the server never followed up on checking and we ended up going with the buffet. It seemed like that was all she was focused on us ordering. Most of the dishes we tried were cold, except for the freshly made omelette, which was the highlight of the meal thanks to the friendly young man who made it. Overall, the experience was not great and we will not be returning.
The service was great. My food not so much. They could really use an upgrade to their menu. The prices are high but the effort put into the food is substandard. I think they probably sell a lot of finger foods because of the bowling alley. Which keeps them open. We were there on a Wednesday at 7pm and the place had maybe 2 tables. It should be busier. I had a few things including wings. They are still using that sauce we got in the 90's before buffalo wing sauce came out.. I think once they complete their renos and update their menu they will see more traffic but for now, unless I'm bowling, I'll eat somewhere else.
I ordered a chicken dish, but the potato was very stale and covered in salt. I had to rub off the salt before eating it, which was not very classy. The chicken patty seemed processed, but the vegetables were the best part of the meal. I asked for a roll, but the kitchen said they didn't have any. A tip to the server would be to just grab a hamburger bun as a last resort. The server was nice, but mentioned he was filling in from the banquet staff and hadn't worked in the restaurant before. My companion had a pasta dish with shrimp, but the shrimp was hard to find. Even with a 15% discount from the entertainment guide, our bill was still $27 for just the food. Overall, Burger King would have been a better choice.
