My partner and I both agree that this restaurant is one of the most authentic we have experienced. I ordered the lamb shawarma and she had the chicken shawarma. I wasn't thrilled with my lamb shawarma as it was a bit dry and lacked flavor compared to her chicken shawarma, which was delicious and moist. It was one of the best we have ever tried. We decided to get our food to go, and it came with a generous portion of tasty rice, hummus, and garlic sauce, which were all extremely delicious. Overall, Shawarma Square in St. Catharines will be our go-to spot from now on.
We ordered food from this place via skip the dishes. the portions are large and eating is good. we had a chicken-shawarma wrap and beef-shawarma plate. the garlic sauce is delicious, rice and meat perfectly cooked. the salad was delicious. the money is definitely worth it and I didn't have to pick it up. I will order again.
I have tried many shawarma places in Niagara, but Shawarma Square is by far the best. We ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a beef shawarma plate. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the beef was real steak, not gyro meat. The rice was also perfectly cooked and came with delicious hummus and garlic sauce. The salad was a mix of salad and coleslaw with thin slices of red cabbage. Shawarma Square is definitely worth a visit, even though it is located next to a convenience store. There are a few tables and chairs available for dining in a hurry. The owners were very friendly and we found the prices to be great. Overall, Shawarma Square is a must-try!
I love ordering from here because both young people who work the kitchen make very authentic eating, but they make it just a little different from the other youngs, that is not mcdonalds where every burger tastes exactly the same. any plate and packaging I get is like. a small piece of art and is always perfect for my love, yet a little different. they have no problem, add extra or lose some weight (love lettuce/ don't love red cauliflower every time I run in, they always say hello my friend, it makes them feel reminiscent and adds a friendly atmosphere. when they go in, the place does not look like much, but do not let them look fool because if they think about eating after mouth water. it may be a little intimidating to order something new, but my suggestion is the bark meat plate, the portions are huge and like a huge salat, but with meat and rice and sauces to their taste only creamy garlic and a lot of hot sauce for me and do not forget the feta! vegan? no problem because the falafel is to do be young for yes!
To start, the listing is incorrect as the restaurant is now situated on Queenston St in St. Catharines, ON next to Yaman Plus convenience store. The restaurant is operated by two friendly individuals who always greet you warmly. They remember my favorite toppings without me having to remind them, and their prices are consistently fair with prompt and welcoming service. The restaurant offers fantastic specials and serves authentic Arabic cuisine. Although it may be a bit out of the way, being located across from the old hospital, I suggest giving them a try if you happen to be in the area. I particularly recommend trying the Shish Tawooq and cheese pie.
