Riverside Pizza Pub St. Charles

Stopped in prior to a show across the street. 4 of us. Sat up stairs. The place was less than half full. Had to wave down the waitress, standing 20 feet away after 10 minutes. Ordered drinks that did arrive promptly. Then food. Nothing elaborate. Burger with rings, a salad and two apps as entrees. After 25 minutes food arrived. Salad was wrong. Burger and onion rings were room temperature. Half order of Nachos with seasoned ground beef was ridiculous. Meat was cold and cheese had already coagulated to the point I could have picked the entire stack up like it was one piece.The waitress was concerned and offered to warm the Nachos up. After 10 minutes they were brought back and no change. Clearly they were not warmed up before now delivered by the food runner.It is obvious the food is put up for delivery and sits because the kitchen is on the first floor. My first thought was don't sit upstairs next time. But then again this is a modest size establishment.Do better, don't forget about the patrons upstairs.

Went here for the first time on Thursday evening to pick our super bowl pool numbers.The bartender seemed young in a bit of an experience, but together with a little input he whipped together. Pretty darn good Manhattan then we had him do a specialty drink that we call the CrumperNickel, which was invented concoction of my son Mikey's.It's in a beautiful section of downtown right across from the old theater just east of the river. Beautiful building. Great atmosphere. We had real good company there too that helped.The boys running the pool watch some pizzas. They were pretty darn good. Nice thin crust. Good sauce. Very tasty.Whole spread was well set up.Enjoyable evening. Look forward to going back sometime Soon.....

Get there early if you want to dine on the first floor. Plenty of space upstairs if you don't mind taking the stairs.

1st time visit with St Charles regulars to this spot, food was really excellent. I had the Chicken Bruschetta Sandwich and tater tots, both prepared perfectly! Delicious crusty roll and the bruschetta was spot on! Hope to return again soon!
