My only negative, and it isn't that bad, is on our last visit, we went for a birthday dinner and had 9 guests. They wouldn't do separate checks, only 1 check per table, and though I was ok with it, the rest of the guests were annoyed. Otherwise, I highly recommend St. Charles Place Steakhouse!!
The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and they were very responsive. Everything came out really quickly!
Classic Bait and Switch. I made a reservation based on the menu online. When I asked the waiter about it, he brought a manager. Manager said three different stories: 1) That's not our website. (When I showed him it was the same as the regular menu) I was told 2) That's from two years ago and then 3) That's the take out menu only. We'll, which one is it? I knew I couldn't go anywhere else, and so did St. Charles Place. I spent at least double what was advertised. Server was great, but management is shady as hell.
Older Elcletic atmosphere but this ambiance paired with friendly service and fine dining works for the restaurant ?. The portions can feed 2.
Disappointing on so many levels. My sister took me and a couple of relatives here for dinner. I was looking forward to a good meal based on someone else’s experience. First off, you walk in and it is so dark-maybe because the décor is awful and looks like it hasn’t been changed since the 70’s-that numerous people in the restaurant were using their phone’s flashlight to read the menus. It’s that dark. We ordered saganaki and calamari as appetizers. The saganaki was fine-calamari was definitely of the rubber band tasting variety. After we got our appetizers, we lost our waitress. For thirty minutes. we didn’t see our waitress. Finally my sister went to ask to have waitstaff sent over so we could order dinner. I ordered fried shrimp, she ordered roast chicken. Rigatoni and a burger rounded out the order. My shrimp were enormous- but overcooked and tough. We were still eating when the busboy brought out ‘to-go’ bags and containers and left them on the table. At that point, we decided to go somewhere else for dessert. Really unimpressive food, ambiance and service. No idea why anyone would come here twice.
