“Really Rather Good” says it all. We called in this afternoon for tea and cake and it was a real treat. Friendly staff, tasty cake and tea, matching clean crockery with no chips and cracks and cosy atmosphere. Thank you.
Lovely little cafe, we were staying in bury st edmunds for the weekend and stumbled across this cafe for breakfast this morning. I had their pancakes with syrup and my husband had the full English. Both cooked lovely, pancakes were very fluffy and the hot drinks were delicious. Cute little cafe and friendly service also well priced.
The restaurant we usually visit was closed so thought we would try this one and were not disappointed. We failed to see the menus clearly displayed on a wall but as soon as we chose a table a young man brought two menus to us. As requested, we ordered at the counter and our drinks were quickly brought to our table. We both chose baked potatoes, one with egg mayonnaise and the other with tuna mayo. These were provided with a small side salad in very reasonable time and both were excellent. The seating area inside appears quite limited but all the tables outside were occupied.
This restaurant is a lovely spot for a casual meal. We enjoyed sitting outside on a sunny Saturday morning and the atmosphere was lively. I ordered the sourdough toast with Stilton, mushrooms, and mozzarella and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend it. My partner had a BLT sandwich, which he said was very fresh. We also tried a banana and strawberry smoothie, which was tasty, and the coffee was good as well. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily return to this restaurant.
