Zeera Indian Takeaway - St Edmundsbury

This isbthe 2nd time I have eaten from hear and both times have been special. I wanted to leave a review after the 1st but waited to see if it was a 1 off which it wasn't. I love the fact they offer if you would like it spicy or hot as it's more about flavour than head for me. Would highly recommend lamb toka madras spice with your fave accompaniments.

We waited for over 2 hours for our food delivery, only to be told there was a problem. Despite the restaurant claiming they were not busy, we were extremely disappointed. Do not waste your time with this Indian takeaway.

Front of house very friendly 10/10 but as for the food 3/10. A chewy Garlic Chilli Lamb in a tomato based lacking in real flavour sauce. An average nothing to write home about Chicken Balti AND boiled cauliflower finished in another tomato based type sauce which was supposedly Cauliflower Baji???... Now that's a first!!! On a positive note the vegetable and mushroom pilaus were perfect and the food was hot but sorry we won't be back.

We have frequented Zeera since we moved into the area 7 years ago and I can honestly say I can't fault them. We usually collect but have used their website to place orders for delivery too. Our food has always turned up piping hot and on time. The delivery staff are genuinely friendly, polite and helpful. Zeera's website is fantastic and really easy to use and navigate. Obviously though the most important bit is the food and I can't imagine anyone not giving 5 stars for this bit! Our food is fresh, never greasy and great portion sizes. But the best bit? They do Vegan! I'm not talking about chucking a handful of cheap frozen veg into a sauce I'm talking Tofu, fresh crunchy veg and sauces that are no less tasty than their standard non Vegan counterparts. Love this place!
