I had the fisherman’s platter my partner had the Ploughman’s platter. Amazing! Mine had tuna mayo, large salad, hard boiled egg, smoked salmon, prawn cocktail with homemade coleslaw potato salad served with poppy seed bread butter all presented lovely. My partner had two large chunks of Lancashire cheese, two portions of pate, large salad, chutney, coleslaw, potato salad pickles, served with toast butter. 100% recommend! I didn’t have any cake but try all looked homemade. Someone was having afternoon tea it looks fab! All in all a lovely lunch.
After not seeing a good friend for some time, we decided on lunch at Inglenook Farm. Arriving without a booking we were promptly shown to our tables, by the radiator on what had been a fairly cold day nice touch. It was lovely inside with a cosy atmosphere despite being rather full. Our waitresses Ellie and Eve were incredibly accommodating and left my friend and I to a well needed catch up, subtly giving us occasional looks to find out whether we were ready to order or not, rather than interrupting to rush us into ordering food. When we did decide on the food, after sinking the first pot of tea, we both had the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap which was delicious! Very quick to arrive after ordering with our empty plates being almost immediately taken away once finished. We treated ourselves to some cheesecake and a final pot of tea before going into the village for a stroll. Could not recommend this place more, and we will be coming back!
1st time coming here with my daughter and it won’t be our last we came for breakfast it’s is a lovely little tea room very light and beautifully decorated and very clean we did spot the cakes on the way in but had no room after our fry up, they offer afternoon tea but you will have to book so we will be trying this next time , it has a few little shops dotted about the court yard if you haven’t yet been give it a go staff are lovely and friendly and happy you won’t be disappointed 10/10
My husband and I arrived at Orchard at 9:50am. There were two tables ahead of us, but we were served our drinks promptly. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. I ordered two Bacon barms, and despite four other tables coming in and being served their breakfast quickly, we were left waiting. When a waiter finally brought out some barms, I asked if they were ours, only to be told that our order would be ready soon. After waiting for 40 minutes in 31 degree heat, I had had enough and decided to leave. When I went to the kiosk for a refund, I was met with a rude response from a lady with short blonde hair who loudly commented on the heat. If she was a manager, I believe she could benefit from some customer service training. The wait and confusion with the staff at Orchard was disappointing, and I hope they implement better training in the future.
The waitress was very nice, the seafood platter was excellent! The location was stunning as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
