Road and Carr Mill Dam, with plenty of vehicle parking. A TIP don 't forget to sign in your Vehicle Registration Number at Reception, or it will cost you... A friendly welcome, quickly seated and simple, efficient customer service. Buffet style help yourself, the All you eat nicely cooked breakfast is both tasy and filling, also very good value with excellent proper coffee. Situated by Carr Mill Dam Lake you can eat while looking out across the lake. If you want to walk off some of the calories afterwards there are excellent walks adjacent to the Carvery, alongside the Dam and down the valley to the Sankey Valley Country Park. Having done these walks on a previous occasion is is both interesting and good exercise with good tarmaced surfaces suitable for powered buggies.
Dropped in for a quick lunch. The food was lovely and fresh, thoroughly enjoyed. Staff are always so friendly Kim, Col, Ollie and James. Nothing too much trouble. Definitely recommend.
Breakfast, for me, has eggs. This place is not capable of cooking eggs. Seems simple enough but it is not simple enough for them. Stood waiting in the serving line for about ten minutes, along with several other people, to have eggs appear ... only to be presented with a bowl of half cooked eggs swimming in some sort of liquid that looked like water. The lady in front of me poked at them with the serving spoon and she concluded they were inedible. I said to the fellow who brought them out, who was dressed like a chef , that the eggs were not cooked and he replied indignantly yes they are mate . I gave up, seated myself, and ate the rest of my breakfast. I kept my eye on the serving line and was not surprised to see other folks standing waiting for eggs several times.
Visited 3/12/23 with family, service was excellent from all the staff even though I'd never seen the Waterside this busy, long queues. The carvery was absolutely excellent, probably the best I've ever had,so nice, the whole family all cleared their plates which tells you all you need to know. Everyone agreed they can't wait for their next visit, keep up the good work
I went for Breakfast at 9:30am hoping it to be quiet and food available. All stainless serving surface were Cold. The plates were Cold. The overhead heat lamps were on causing All Food to be Crusty and Glued together causing Mushed Up Food in bowls. All the food selection were Cold underneath the Crusty top surfaces. The Black Pudding were all soft and pink inside. The Eggs were Cold small and of poor quality sat in a pool if oil. Sausages Hard and Cold list can go on. I complained to waiting staff they didnt know what to do or say as they were @18 years old. Left my food and left causing food waste and hard earned money wasted. I complained to Toby Online to send some one from head office to visit the Toby Restaurant and Temperature test the food. The reply was theres a buzzer bell in the serving area you should have pressed it for attention from the chefs who were so so busy in the kitchen? So its tough! Go away!. No i will not be quiet this is the second compaint i have made regarding this Toby Restaurant last time it was about stingy children 's size meat carvery which i just agued with the chef and walked and made complant online.
