Dershey's Cafe - St. Johns

Absolutely awful! I ordered biscuits and gravy with two scrambled eggs, and what I received was half a biscuit and microwaved eggs. The salt and pepper packets were mixed in with the gravy, and the fork was resting on top of it when I opened my takeout box. When I went back to ask for a fix or a refund, the staff member said she couldn't do anything about how the salt, pepper, and fork ended up in the box, and insisted that the food was still edible. The food was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. I will never order from this place again and will be advising my coworkers to steer clear as well.

I visited the restaurant during its regular business hours, eager to order a malt, which I believe they make exceptionally well. To my surprise, I was told that they couldn't serve me because they were busy installing a fryer. I left feeling both incredulous and disappointed. I felt compelled to consider reporting this to the state for refusing service without a valid reason. When you're open for business, you should be ready to serve your customers; maintenance should be scheduled after hours. You've lost a loyal customer who used to rave about your café. The value of my business is worth much more than just the $5.00 for a malt.

Unfortunately, I wasn't informed that they were busy with other orders, which left me feeling incredibly disappointed. I should have mentioned that refusing service without a good reason is unacceptable. When they open for business, they should be ready to serve customers. I suggest they offer maintenance after hours instead. Sadly, they've lost a customer who has always been a loyal supporter of their café. The malt is worth much more than just $5.00.

When I drove back to complain, the woman at the counter said they couldn’t be responsible for how the salt, pepper, and fork ended up in the box, and she insisted that the food was edible. I will never order from them again and will advise my colleagues to avoid this place as well.
