The Clachan Inn

Visited for Sunday lunch and it was an amazing experience! The restaurant and the bar have a lovely atmosphere. The open fireplaces make it feel cosy and warm. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the service was great. The menu was up on the board and the choice of food was great! We enjoyed absolutely delicious food and we will certainly be back! The quality of the food is truly outstanding. Highly recommend! Food drinks: The food and drink was excellent! The wine was delicious and the food as I mentioned, was outstanding!

The food is indeed AA 3 stars and absolutely delicious. The rustic romantic restaurant and pub has a fishing theme running. If you look carefully you will notice that there are fishing rods mounted to the ceiling. Booking a table is recommended. After 7pm it got quickly quite busy. Visited on Thursday for lunch, we enjoyed the pub itself and the atmosphere in the bar seating area was cosy with lovely original features. We ordered the chicken in a brioche bun and the mussels. But by the early evening I was SEVERELY unwell with food poisoning. Disappointed as the pub itself came highly recommended from our accommodation host and it was supposed to be a memorable lunch from our trip to a Scotland. Sadly memorable for the wrong reasons.
