Bernard Stanley Gastropub - St. John's

This is a great local pub. It's not fancy, but very popular. There is no gfree menu, but when I asked, the server brought over a marked up copy of the menu and talked me through my options I chose the Salmon Tacos the tacos aren't gfree, but the Salmon was perfectly grilled and served on a bed of their light cole slaw with the blueberry salsa over. There was also a side of brown rice with a bean ratatouille on top. It was delicious and reliably gluten free.

Kitchen staff are very allergy/celiac friendly and there is a separate gluten-free/vegan menu.

Really tasty food, very accommodating and friendly service, who were knowledgeable about celiac and seemed to really care! The menu was not marked, so just ask! Also GREAT cocktails!!

The meal was good, but the waitress lasted 1.5 hours to make the bill for 10 people. In the end, she had done it wrong and forced the rest of the people to pay what she claimed was not paid by the people who paid... and left because of the ridiculous waiting. In addition, after contact with the manager and explain the situation of our overpayment nothing solved and they avoid us. Five weeks and count.

Food was okay for higher end pub grub but nothing special to write home about. Service was great though. Will return but will order something other than burger and Mac.
