Black Stag Brewery - St Lawrence

We have found our new favorite spot in Lawrence. The beer and food are both fantastic! The service is excellent and we highly recommend this place.

A COOL Interior being very comfortable for relaxing tv sports watching and multiple conversations. Food was good but, wife's sandwich was a little thin my brussel sprouts were tasty. Each of our beer and tasters were good. We caught black stag whilepassing through as a stop for lunch and to first time visit. We both enjoyed our visit.

I enjoyed the space so many wonderful paintings and pictures, plus fun games if you need to entertain your group. The beer was good but nothing extraordinary. We had the stouts and sours and enjoyed drinking them. Food was underwhelming. I ordered a saladand it definitely wasn?t what I expected (especially for the price mark . My partner had steak frites and wasn?t impressed withit either. We both really loved the sweet potato fries they were crispy and not greasy. Overall, it was a pleasant experiencebut I don?t think I would come back for food. Response to Black Stag as I?m having a hard time locating the reply button???? I think I was mainly thrown off by thick uneven slices of cucumbers, the vinaigrette was great though. Some tomatoes hadstems, as well, so that was another thing. In grand scheme of things it was a good salad, just not what I expected : My partnerhad steak frites, not filet mignon my bad!

The food and beer at this restaurant were excellent. The burgers were better than the Rueben sandwich, and they offered a variety of IPA's, porters, stouts, wits, koelschs, goses, and about 10 other beers. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be a go-to spot for me. The Brussels sprouts in a Thai spiced dish were the best we've had all year. All of the beer is brewed on site. There is parking available in the front and back. The seating options include bar, tables, fireplace, and outdoor seating. The restrooms are ADA compliant and recently renovated.

We had the best time on a Saturday afternoon. We parked in one of the dedicated spots up front. Food was outstanding, and there was a lot to choose from. Enjoyed meeting the brewer and having a chat about all the local selections. Will visit again soon!
