With 15 minutes to kill, we popped into the gift shop. Fresh off the airplane, we started to perk up again, excitedly browsing through all the shiny beer-themed items. Soon, it was time for our tour. I caught a glimpse of the informative video playing in the waiting area, and it was really engaging! We gathered at the benches, and our tour guide introduced us to the experience. At this moment, I felt a surge of excitement about… learning about beer. I was a bit apprehensive about the walking part, especially after seeing how vast the brewery campus was—it's HUGE! As we stepped outside, it was a crisp but still slightly warm spring afternoon. However, the walking turned out to be quite manageable. I was just a little tired and, if I'm honest, a bit hungry. The tour was both fun and educational. Along the way, we enjoyed a beer tasting, and we ended with a special bottle of beer to take home, followed by a delightful trolley ride back to the biergarten. We grabbed some food—toast raviolis, pretzels, and a salad for a little balance—and enjoyed another beer, then made our way to our work destination for the next day. Overall, this was a fantastic start to our trip, even if it was primarily for work. I would definitely recommend it!
The Anheuser-Busch tour far surpassed my expectations. Our guide, Mark, was incredibly passionate about his work and the history of the company, which made me reconsider their significant role in American culture. The Clydesdales are stunning, and their story is even more remarkable. The facility itself is impressive; the sheer scale is awe-inspiring, but I was especially surprised by the care and quality that goes into the products. By the end of the tour, I left with a newfound appreciation for the effort that goes into each bottle of Budweiser, Rolling Rock, or any of the other 30 varieties produced on site. It was truly remarkable and well worth the visit.
Had such a nice time tonight for the Brewery Lights. We've been here a number of times throughout the years whenever we have out of town guests in town. This time we just went with our grown kids who are home from College and had a great time. The $12 ticket gets you a free beer at the entrance. Everything is so nicely decorated, there is hot chocolate, S'Mores, other festive drinks like peppermint White Russian on the rocks or mixed in with your hot chocolate, a parade at 7:30 most nights, a small museum, you can stand in line for the Clydesdales but you also get to see some of them during the parade. All in all we had a great night!
Kim was a wonderful guide. Olaf stole the show and his handler Jessica was very kind and knowledgeable. A great day. Take the Clydesdale VIPTour
