Contribuisci feedbackThis is one of my favorite restaurants. It has a wonderful Mongolian barbecue along with an incredible assortment of Asian foods. Their hot and sour soup is one of the best I’ve ever had. The sushi is very good and the service is always been polite and very attentive to clear plates. I have never been rushed as I enjoy talking endlessly to friends while eating here. The bathrooms are elegant and very clean however, I think the bathroom doors are very heavy. I believe that is why they are usually blocked open. They also have very quiet hand dryers. The lobby is also elegant , the doors are hard to open because there is a very strong air handling system that keeps fresh air circulated I enjoy bringing friends here For a relaxing meal and conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat.
We were actually a regular customers in Hokkaido Buffet. Unfortunately not after what had happen tonight. I can 't even rate 1 star for that hostile incident. It happened after we got our check from our busser name Yuri (I got her name from front desk manager). While we we 're still seated when at our table talking to my two kids while trying to sign the receipt. I have a dollar in my wallet so I thought just give it. Yuri was pissed when she saw that dollar on the check holder. She told me, only a dollar for 4 people? I told her politely, that was my change in my wallet but my husband will add more cash but he 's still in bathroom. I said it 's a buffet, we always leave our tips on the table. Instead of taking it well, she threw the dollar at our table, infront of my children. With rude tone she said , You can have your 1 dollar back and walked away. Wow! I was shocked and embarrassed of what just happened . First of all, we don 't throw money at your customers. Second, it was very disrespectful and very rude in front of my children. Third, I understand it 's only a dollar but that doesn 't give her the right to be rude to ask for tip. Her arrogant attitude towards me with other customers around was uncalled for. We are not bad people. We come to Hokkaido Buffet with my family, we 're decent customers. What was worse , when she was asked to apologize by the new manager at the front desk, she got snooty with arrogant attitude. That made me cry for embarrassment infront of my children. It is unfortunate that one unkind act from your employee can make a big negative impact to your regular customers. Sorry but never again to Hokkaido Buffet Restaurant in Lindbergh, St .Louis. Act of kindness is still needed even in a business establishment.
I started off by walking in to a nicely decorated place, and I was sat at a table soon after I noticed we were being stared at by servers. The food we got looked good but wasn’t 4 star quality. It was dry, tasted off, and wasn’t authentic. When I went to the restroom I was APPALLED I saw black mold covered all over the tiles and toilets. The toilets were also unsanitary and dirty, and when I left and looked up the ceiling also had black mold.
Good food. I'm addicted to the coconut shrimp. Me and my daughter's favorite place!
If you are looking for a buffet this is one to try! Downfall is weekend lunch price goes from $12-$19
