Kreis' Steakhouse - St Louis

The food is always amazing. The prime rib is terrific. The filet with the mushroom sauce is wonderful. We always have Richard as pir waiter and his service is top notch. Highly recommend.

We loved it. One of the few good German (steakhouse) restaurants left in the St. louis area.

Beautiful restaurant. First time here, my boyfriend and I were on a date night for our anniversary. Dale was our server, very lively and energetic! He was wonderful, gave us an amazing experience. Food was amazing. I ordered the 12oz bacon wrapped filet, med rare, and it was cooked perfectly. Boyfriend ordered the crab legs, which were okay. The seared tuna appetizer was nice. Drinks were great, ambiance was wonderful. Will come again!

The young host was friendlier than the wait staff. I asked for no garlic on my food, (as I have an intolerance to garlic), and I wasn't sure if the dinner I chose had any type of garlic sauce on it. The waiter didn't stick around to explain anything about how the food was prepared or served. My seafood didn't have any garlic, in fact, it had absolutely no seasoning, not even salt pepper. Our food was excellent after I seasoned it. The food is always excellent at Kreis'. The bus lady who claimed that she “knows everything”, apparently doesn't, because when she boxed up my savory leftovers, she completely lost or threw away all of my lobster that I had planned on enjoying the next day. Of all that was on my plate that I planned on enjoying the next day, the lobster was the one item that I purposely went easy on so I could really enjoy later. So, so disappointing. Still I am at a loss wondering why of all that I had left on my plate, why would the lobster be the thing she decided not to box up?? We always enjoy going to Keri's' because the food is so good, but I just wish the staff would at least act like they are happy to be there and perhaps be a bit more cordial to the well paying customers.
