Maybe it's because this is the first place I ever saw a musical at age 7 and now have my bachelor's in musical theatre, but I think many people feel this way when visiting this venue. The grand lobby feels like something out of a golden-age-Hollywood-movie. The efficient staff seems just as excited as you are, waiting for the show to start (we had a LOVELY conversation with the concessions team! ! Every production here is Broadway-caliber! I have nothing but good things to say about this venue! I have yet to try their in-house restaurant (it is on my bucket list! , but the food from the concession stand is surprisingly good quality! If you haven't yet, please indulge in the treat that is seeing live theatre! We just saw MJ the musical and had the best time! Thank you for everything, Fabulous Fox! You will always have a special place in my heart!
The sound is horrible. We have been season ticket holders for decades. A couple years ago, the Tedeschi Trucks Band played, and it was so loud and garbled that we couldn't decipher which songs were playing. We have needed to wear earplugs for broadway musicals the past two years. This is unacceptable. The people running the sound must go. We will not be back!
The Fabulous Fox Theatre is one of a kind! There are others in the nation but not Fabulous. This beautiful event space holds anything from comedy to kids events to the more known Broadway shows! Parking all around the theatre along with a parking garage so it isn't horrible to find a spot. When you get inside, there are workers everywhere helping you find your seats guide you to your spot. They have a bar snack area on the main level when you walk in if you're thirsty or want a little snack on each level so you don't have to walk back. Make sure to check out a show when you're in town because you won't be disappointed!
This was my first time at the Fox Theater! I was taken back by the stunning detail on both the exterior and interior design of the building. They have four lines and it ensures a quick entrance, I appreciated that. As expected drinks and snacks were pricey, paid $11 for two water bottles. The reason I give them four stars is because I wish they ensured guests had a good experience by calling out disrupters or simply removing them. I feel like a light tap or warning could enhance the guest experience. There were plenty of people who lacked theater etiquette and were talking throughout the whole play, I wish they would've been told something.
Always a nice Beautiful Place to catch a concert or Comedy Show!!!! Niki Glaser hit it out of the Park at her Debut there!!!
