You can definitely share this one. I lived in STL for over 30 years and this is my fav fried rice for sure! My parens who are native St Louisans as well and grew up on the North side agree.
My fiancé and I were out and about. We were a little hungry and wanted something quick to eat. We looked up places close and came across this place. Of course we read the reviews and when I tell you they did not lie. OMG! The food here was good as hell! Don't let the appearance fool you. They know what they're doing in that kitchen!
The ultimate hole-in-the-wall joint! Don't let appearances fool or deceive you, there's some good food being served up here. I got the loaded St. Paul's sandwich and I honestly have no idea what I ate. They told me that it was pork, beef, crab, and fish sandwiched in between two slices of white bread. Well, it was definitely something amazing, I'll tell you that! I wanted something truly unique and I absolutely got it. Tasted great! Next time I'll get some sauce though.
I ordered Harold's Chinese food yesterday and was well pleased! Everything was delicious. I ordered the hot braised chicken platter with shrimp fried rice, and crab ragoon. The crab ragoon was sweet, but not too sweet and had a nice balance. I also ordered vegetable egg rolls which were very tasty and crispy. I was very pleased and will definitely eat there again!
I've been coming to Harold's for years. My favorite is the Saint Paul sandwich, they special fried rice is good as well with gravy. They have a lot of good food items
