Mollejas, chorizos, fra diavolo and for dessert chala and creme brulee both with dulce de leche. All lovely.Food: 5/5
Was a amazing time I’ve been going to renzos for a while now and it’s always amazing every time I go will always be going ?
The grilled octopus was tough...they did not have the octopus carpaccio, arguably their best dish. The steak in the steak salad was about 1/3 gristle. The Chilean Sea Bass was quite good...and should be for $45. The major issue we had was a bait switch on the wine. We wanted the Cakebread Chardonnay. It was reasonably priced at $64/bottle. They were out of it, but the server brought a Rombauer for the same price (the server said it was a bargain...should be $100). When we wanted a second bottle of Rombauer for that price, the owner said they couldn 't do that, and he brought over a bottle of Hook Ladder (so-so) for $60. Bottom line, Cakebread retails for almost twice what the other 2 retail for. They switched us into cheap wines for the Cakebread price. The total bill for 4 of us was almost $400, WAAAAY too much for the quality of the meal.
Fabulous food, excellent service! The best steak house in town
