I've been drinking espresso my whole life and I know exactly what it is and how much should be served! And the candy (toffee) was absolutely disgusting... impossible to eat.
The food is delicious, the selection is great, and the service is excellent. However, I have to wonder why only the pastries are displayed behind glass while the cakes and buns are left uncovered. Throughout the day, staff are working nearby, which causes dust and debris from the counter to settle on the exposed items. This setup seems poorly thought out! The cakes taste amazing, but seeing this mess really makes me hesitant to buy them, especially considering their prices are not low.
The waitresses were extremely slow. There was no one else in line before me, and yet I was only served after 6 minutes of their chit-chat and gossip.
We were looking for an open coffee shop/restaurant at 10.00-10.30 to have a breakfast and everything was closed or had no vegan positions. Then we found British Bakeries and were happy to find out that they offer vegan breakfasts. My rice porridge with coconut milk was served with dried berries and was not sweet, so I added some sugar to it. It was really tasty as well as orange muffin and decaf americano. The waiters were very kind and friendly.
It is a very beautiful caffeine with good choices to breakfast and delicious pastries and desserts. her coffee is excellent and they can also order. service is very nice and friendly. the only part is that they do not have tables outside (in summer it feels too warm to sit inside).
