The server neglected our table completely. We ordered and consumed the calamari, which were clearly frozen and came with bottled cocktail sauce. After waiting for 30 minutes with no further service, we had to go to the bar to get our check because the server had not returned. We never even got the chance to order our main course.
Great Italian food from these former Chicago residents. Service is great. Chef (co-owner with wife) always comes out to say hello and make sure food is as you hoped. Cute photos of spaghetti eating stars adorn the walls. Ample portions.... Chicken, beef, pork, lamb, fish.... All great interpretations of the recipes.
Evening started off great. Happy hour and bar staff were phenomenal. The dining experience was well below par. We ordered from the special menu and the food received was less than marginal. We like a nice sear on our food but what was plated had a burnt taste, like licking charcoal. However, we were willing to overlook the quality until the bill came. The issue we have is with the owner. We were over charged for a special from the menu. We requested to speak with the manager to rectify the overcharge. Instead of correcting the bill for a mistake that was not ours the manager/owner was condescending and rude. For a high end establishment this is not what we expected. We will never go back nor will we recommend this restaurant to future diners. Buyer beware.
