Metro Diner - St. Petersburg

Fun Diner atmosphere. Very friendly, attentive service. The food was unique and many healthier and vegetarian options. Large portion sizes! We had the cinnamon style pancakes, hash brews and southwest bowl.

From the first steps we entered, welcomed very quickly and sat the same service was great. Very friendly. Very nice. Very clean and the food was great. My first time I had the chicken and waffles and it was really good. Better than my expectations. My brother and sister-in-law also enjoyed their meals. He had a cookie and gravy with sausage and she had Croissant French toast, who both said they were very good. See pictures

Stick to the fried chicken eaters and potatoes As far as the steak tips, the beans previously frozen and possibly thawed, then again frozen, then heated in a way tgat let them taste old and season less. The steak tasted old and the oversalted engraving. The potatoes were good. Chicken Parmesan, the fried chicken was good, but the Marinara was not a marinara by any definition and caused the rest to be uneaten. I took it home washed the pasta, air fritted the chicken and remade it with real marinara, parmesan cheese and an Italian cheese mix, it was so much better. Shepard's pie seems to be carved meat and thrown in with the engraving from the meat leaf with dice carrots, corn and celery. Padded with a pan of mashed potatoes in the middle, covered with cheese and thrown into an oven until the cheese melts. Okay, if you recycle food. Even the lemon in my water seemed old. I went here because a few months ago, I ordered the pot roasts and meat flakes and both were good, I think they have stopped their kitchen staff since or the same.

I have been fed here for years and appreciate the consistent quality throughout the years, no matter what. The service is fabulous. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt, especially Trina. The owner, Lori, is also great. The menu is varied and everything is fresh. If there is a waiting period, they have an online alert list that is very convenient. It is a clean decor and clean open kitchen. I recommend Metro for some good diner style food.

Spectacular menu! Something for everyone! And if you want phenomenal service, ask for Trina. She is the best! The restaurant is spacious, clean and everyone is quite attentive. The open kitchen is always pristine and everyone is working hard all the time to make sure you have the best experience. I feel like Lorie Tester, the proprietor, has the key to running a great restaurant. We come here often because this is truly one of St Petersburg?s gems.
