We went for the lunch buffet (checked the days on their Facebook page), but (surprise surprise), the buffet is only on the weekends. First thing we noticed after walking in was the flies that were buzzing around the restaurant. There was just one man who seemed to be running the whole place, so service was quite lacking. We waited for an hour from sitting down to getting our friend. My friend went and got a pitcher of water from the fridge for us because service was lacking. Food was decent; the friend from Kerala said it was authentic enough. But overall, a poor experience.
Simply outstanding .We were in a holiday trip to galveston from St.Louis with an intention to taste some kerala food. And yes we got what we needed or i would say more than that from here, we felt like home here . Really splendid dishes and hospitality ,felt like we were in home. Salim ka and itha , very very thanks for giving us a wonderfull experience (Kidu) . I would recommend all my friends who visits Houston to try palm india kerala kitchen.
Here are some of my observations: The café has clear and eye-catching signage that makes it easy to spot on the busy main road, even amidst the crowded strip mall. It seems to cater to both dining and buffet options. When I approached the cashier for assistance, I was greeted warmly, but since I wasn't well-versed in the local language, I could only convey that I had come to eat with my friend who was with me. The friendly owner was soon introduced to me, and he kindly informed me that there wasn’t a buffet available during the week. Unfortunately, I couldn't order from the buffet, but I could get pizza or something else off the menu. To my surprise, there were no printed menus available. My cross-cultural instincts kicked in, and I realized that everything must be prepared fresh. It was refreshing to see this modest approach to dining. I decided against the pizza, which seemed to puzzle the staff as I’m a blonde woman—presumably someone who would want pizza—so I politely inquired about the traditional menu instead. They eventually understood my preference for traditional food, and I was glad to skip the pizza. The food I received was quite good. This place seems to attract two distinct types of customers: those picking up pizza for takeout and those dining in for traditional meals. While I was there, I noticed a steady stream of customers coming in for pizza, which I can attest is very tasty—I’ve ordered it several times. The vibe inside feels like a hidden gem, with the owners being incredibly laid-back and friendly, clearly proud of their pizza offerings. We keep coming back for it. This review is long overdue; I haven’t visited since the onset of COVID-19. I hope that since then, they have been doing well and thriving.
I needed to grab some takeout quickly and decided to give this restaurant a shot. The food was fantastic! It was truly authentic and had just the right amount of spice. The portion sizes were generous as well. The beef curry was exceptional—definitely one of the best Indian spots in Sugar Land/Missouri City. The owner was extremely friendly, and his son, who was very kind, also helped out. This really left a positive impression on me. I highly recommend this hidden gem to everyone!
I visited the Sunday buffet and have to say I've never come across such authentic South Kerala cuisine. The fish curry, beef fry, and mutton curry were amazing. Although I didn’t try the tandoori chicken and butter chicken, I was completely captivated by the tangy fish curry. They also served authentic tapioca, which was a bit tough since it was a product from Mexico, but it was cooked exceptionally well. There was live appam, Kerala parotta, and chapati available. I tried the appam, and it was delicious. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Kerala cuisine!
