Razzoo's Cajun Café - Stafford

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my family and we had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent and served promptly. We ordered the fried alligator tail which was delicious. I had the jambalaya pasta and it was also delectable. The service was exceptional from the beginning to the end. I highly suggest this restaurant if you are interested in trying a Cajun cuisine.

Cons: - Menu changes, missing some favorite dishes. - Heavy tomato-based sauces on all dishes, would prefer lighter cream sauce. - Not the same as the old Razzoo's, may need a name change for rebranding.

I was on my way to Applebee's when I came across this restaurant. I was quite disappointed. They should consider removing "Cajun" from their name because as a lover of Cajun cuisine, this place was a major letdown. The dishes look appealing, but they lack flavor and seasoning. As I ate, I couldn't help but wish I was dining at Pappadeaux's or Cheddar's instead. The view of the highway outside didn't make up for the lack of taste in the food.

I had not been to Razoos before, but I had heard good things about it. As a big fan of fried shrimp, I was excited to try their version. I ordered the dirty rice, potato, and a mango drink. The drink was large, perhaps too large as I couldn't taste any alcohol in it. The shrimp was decent but not outstanding. However, the crab cake appetizer was my favorite dish, absolutely delicious. I also sampled my friend's dish and it was fantastic, I wished I had ordered that instead. The service was satisfactory, but I had hoped for better flavors overall. I may give it a try in Austin.
