I ordered the Hunters Chicken from the lunch menu and was told it was the large portion but when it arrived the small and large portion were identical. There was no sauce to speak of the chicken was dry, but the chips were hot
Called in for the first time ever for a light bite. One item was missing from our order and it was quickly brought to us at no extra charge and the portion was HUGE and very tasty. This was the staffs way of apologising for the oversight. All in all the food was really nice and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Yesterday, on a whim, my friends and I decided to stop by this restaurant while driving around looking for a place to eat. We were pleased with our decision! The pub was charming and the meal we had (curry with a drink) was delicious. The meal came with a soft naan bread and a freshly cooked poppadom, not something you would find in a supermarket packet! All of this for less than £12 each. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and had a great relationship with the regulars. The pub was clean, the food was great, and the beer was fantastic. What more could you ask for? We will definitely be coming back soon, hopefully for pie and steak nights! - Anna
We were shocked. Having lived in the area all my life never been in the pub but wanted to. Today sadly we did. The Pepsi glass was filthy, I had another which was no different. The gin and lemonade wasn't drinkable as again dirty glass. I had a bottle of low alcohol beer asked for a glass, sat down and then realised you couldn't see through it, disgusting Near £12 for the privilege. I wouldn't think the place had been hoovered for a few days. Grubby is an understatement. Chairs split/ worn. Don't be fooled by the kerb appeal. We won't be back. Dick Turpin had a mask ! Avoid.
